Additional sockets
New points added to existing circuits where suitable, or on a new circuit where the load calls for it.
Sockets & Switches
Very few houses were wired for the way we use them now. Home offices, kitchen appliances, chargers on every surface and televisions with three things plugged in behind them mean that the socket you have is rarely where you need it.
Adding points properly is a small job with a big effect on how a room works, and it removes the extension leads that tend to accumulate quietly in the background.
New points added to existing circuits where suitable, or on a new circuit where the load calls for it.
Sockets with integrated USB charging, and switched or smart accessories where they genuinely make life easier.
Above-worktop sockets, island points and appliance switching positioned around how the kitchen is actually used.
Grouped sockets behind desks and media units so equipment is powered without trailing leads across the floor.
Weatherproof external sockets on suitably protected circuits for garden tools, pressure washers and outdoor equipment.
Replacement switches, additional switch positions, dimmers, and switches relocated after decorating or building work.
The part people worry about is the mess. Where possible we work within existing cavities, chase minimally and route cables where they will not be seen. We will tell you before we start what will need making good and what we can do without disturbing the finish.
Every new point is tested on the circuit it is connected to, and we check the circuit can properly take what is being added rather than simply extending it.
Sometimes extending an existing circuit is not the right move — a kitchen with several high-load appliances, a home office running a lot of equipment, or a garage or garden room. In those cases a dedicated circuit is a better and safer answer, which falls under our wiring and installation work.
