Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you visit this website or contact us, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.

What we collect

• Details you give us through our forms, email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, email address, phone number, job address, a description of the work, preferred timing and any photos you upload.
• Records of work, quotes and invoices if you become a customer.
• Limited technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) collected through cookies, where you have consented.

How and why we use it

• To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes — steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• To carry out and invoice electrical work — performance of a contract.
• To keep business, tax and safety records — legal obligation.
• To run and secure our website — our legitimate interests.
• To measure the results of our Google adverts — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your data or use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share data with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website hosting, email and IT providers, our accountants, and Google (for advert measurement, only with your consent). Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Customer and job records are kept for up to 6 years after the work is completed to meet tax and legal requirements. Photos uploaded with an enquiry are kept only as long as needed to quote and complete the job.

Cookies

We use two types of cookies:

• Essential — needed for the site to work, including remembering your cookie choice. These don't need consent.
• Advertising (Google Ads) — help us see whether people who clicked our adverts went on to call or request a quote. These are only set if you click “Accept all”.

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased or its use restricted;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time.
