Lighting Installation & Upgrades
Lighting changes how a room feels more than almost anything else you can do to it, and it is one of the few electrical jobs where the result is entirely visible. A kitchen with one central fitting and a kitchen with layered task and ambient lighting are the same room with a very different atmosphere.
We install and replace lighting throughout homes and small commercial premises: new circuits and fittings, replacements for tired installations, and LED upgrades where old fittings are eating electricity.

Getting the layout right first
Most disappointing lighting is a layout problem rather than a fitting problem. Downlights spaced evenly across a ceiling light the floor rather than the surfaces people use, and a single dimmed circuit gives you one setting, brighter or darker.
Before we start we will talk through what happens in the room, where the light needs to land, and where you would benefit from separate switching. It costs nothing at planning stage and it is the difference between lighting that works and lighting that is merely present.
Dimming that behaves
Flickering, buzzing or lamps that will not dim smoothly are almost always a mismatch between the dimmer and the LED lamp or driver. We match them, and if you have an existing installation that misbehaves we can usually fix it without changing the fittings.
